France win second FIFA World Cup title

France won the FIFA World Cup title for the second time when they beat Croatia 4-2 in the final at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow today. Belgium finished third, defeating England 2-0 yesterday. The 64 matches of this World Cup produced a total of 169 goals.

Luka Mordic (Croatia) bagged the Golden Ball as the Best Player of the Tournament. The awards for Best Young Player and Best Goalkeeper was claimed by Kylian Mbappe (France) and Thibaut Courtois (Belgium) respectively. The Fair Play Award went to Spain. Harry Kane (England) emerged top scorer with six goals.
